Confirm the business identity
Look for a legal company name, physical business address, monitored phone number and email address on the company domain. Registration or accreditation claims should include enough information to verify them.
Read the authorization
The itinerary, passenger names, airfare, service fee, ticketing provider and important fare conditions should be visible before payment is authorized.
Know the charges
If airfare and an advisory fee are charged by different companies, the authorization should say so. Save the authorization and receipts.
Expect a ticket number
An airline reservation locator alone is not always proof that the ticket was issued. The confirmation should include the ticket number and issuing information.
Avoid unsupported claims
A logo is not proof of accreditation. Verify an agency through the organization that issued the credential and confirm that the legal entity matches.
